Harvey Cardi from Natural Knits

I really love my mixes of the alpaca and merino. You get the best of both and the finished product is extremely soft and warm and the handle of the yarn is so nice. There is the halo like alpaca and the strength of the merino. Takes dye very nice too. A great mix that wears well.
This is a hard carding job even on the drum carder as the alpaca tends to fly away and gets all over the house after each job of carding. I dont feed it into the feeder, I put it on the larger wheel manually to save on fiber.
This is the boys version as I have one grandson only. So far. This is handspun 50/50 merino and alpaca not yet dyed. I may leave it natural or dye it a dark navy blue. Or I may go on to dye it a dark green and then make the booties and hat to match.

This pattern is very easy and quick to knit. I made this much in one day between working on the pc and house duties.
And, a small girlie summer set for a friends baby. Havent cut out the pattern yet, Knitting is my prime love so other things get put to the end of the list.

Here is the back and 1 1/2 front sections done.
