Finished objects and new starts

These are some more Debbie Bliss booties and the start of the kimono to match. This is from Mason Dixon knitting book. I love this bootie pattern. There are some fiddly parts, like the pearl 2 tog from 7 rows below for the rim around the bottom of the booties. The soles are done with short rows and the look of it is very neatly finished and complete. One of the plusses though is the ribbed section covered by the cuff that keep the booties up. I like that added feature. Its an easy quick pattern. I am going to knit the all in one to go with it but have to spin some more merino/alpaca and dye it to do that. I have about 200 yards on the bobbin right now, need another 200 so in a couple of days. I didnt navajo ply these as I did for the mauvish booties. These are just 2 ply for a smaller guage that will fit the 5 to 6 month old.

The plant I dont remember the name of but I love the color of the flowers.
