These are booties from Debbie Bliss Nursery Knits book. I hand dyed, hand spun and hand knit them from pure adult alpaca from Hello Yarn. They are for my grandson Brent. I am currently half way done with the hat to match. Then the onesie to go with it. Today I am spinning the pure alpaca to make the onesie with today. I will dye it the light blue in the booties
This is hand carded, hand spun 2 ply, hand dyed and hand knitted blue and green 50/50 merino and alpaca. The little girl bootie has a little strap with a button to fasten at the ankle. I didnt like the pattern too much or the way it looked when finished so didnt make a second one. Will probably take it apart to use the yarn. I wish I had a finished object for all the things I took apart.
The purplish yarn is navajo plied 50/50 alpaca merino that is also hand carded on a drum carder, hand dyed, hand spun and hand knit from a pattern in the Nursery Knits book by Debbie Bliss. I cant afford her yarn so I make my own and use her patterns. I got the book for 7$ at 1/2 price books. Thats where I get most of my pattern books. Amazon is too slow and high.
This is some lovely alpaca roving that I got from Adrian at Hello Yarn and some merino that I got from Wendy at Laslabalula :)
The orange is pure alpaca and the multi colored are 50/50 merino and alpaca.
