First perfectly balanced handspun

I spun up 2 lace weight singles of 19 micron merino that I bought from http://lanasdelibelula.com/. This stuff is a real pleasure, so very soft and cushy. I plied them up last night and left them on the nn overnight. I tied in four places and took off the skeiner and absoutely no spin in either direction!!! I am amazed. A perfectly balanced yarn. My first.
I had been leaving the spun singles on the bobbins for a day or two and then plying and then washing to set twist. Now I know that if I leave it on the skeiner over-night it comes out perfectly balanced and that is what I want to acheive with all my yarns. Why spin if what you knit it into isnt nice to look at or feel.
I have knit with some of my singles and if I use only stockinette stitch it has a definite slant. Dont want that for shawls really.
